SAMS Pantry is an outreach ministry of St. John’s Episcopal Church and is a member of the Midland County Food Assistance Network (MCFAN). The pantry is located at 503 S. Saginaw Rd. in the MCFAN building. A parking lot behind the building on Cambridge St. offers convenient parking and access to the panty.
SAMS is currently open on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 1:00 to 3:00 by appointment only (no walk-ins). SAMS operates on a ‘you-pick” basis. Clients select food and personal care items to supply their family’s needs for a week. There is no charge to clients for the items received. Clients also receive gift certificates to purchase additional food items at a local Family Fare store. SAMS is very fortunate to have many dedicated donors and volunteers to provide food and staffing. Volunteers come not only from St. John’s Episcopal Church but other churches and the community as well.
The SAMS Pantry also participates in the pantry rotation of providing boxes of food for MCFAN’s Senior Delivery Program.
